Preferred Medical Billing
Why should I use an outside billing company?
More Time for Patients: We focus entirely on the business side of medicine and let clients focus on their practice
Billing Company = Broad Experience: Billing for multiple medical specialties in varied geographies allows Preferred Medical Billing to to identify payor trends more quickly and provide expert advice on coding and collections.
Cost: The direct and overhead costs associated with in-house billing for small to medium size practices usually exceed that which a billing company can offer by nature of its volume and concentrated expertise
Compliance: Preferred Medical Billing has an active compliance plan, and along with oversight by the Compliance Officer, our trained staff conduct routine audits and provides continuing education. Often times the expense of such a thorough approach by a practice is cost-prohibitive
What makes Preferred Medical Billing different from other billing companies?
We are experts in our field and have a proven track record of increasing client reimbursements. We do it by ensuring the ICD-10 and CPT codes are up to date, assisting in the capture of proper patient demographics for accurate data entry.
We are detail-oriented, which is essential for proper billing practices. We follow up. We call insurance companies on a continual basis to see where your money is. We constantly strive to meet the high-performance goals we have set for ourselves.
How long does it take to get up and running with PMB?
We can start immediately however, based on our experience, an approximate time frame for a practicing provider to get up and fully running with PMB is 4-6 weeks. If you are a new provider just introducing your services, this could range from 8-10 weeks.
How do I get started?
Contact PMB at (916) 663-6784 or email email@example.com and we would be happy to create a tailored program that best meets the needs of your practice, which would include establishing fee schedules and developing workflow processes necessary for rapid claims reimbursement. In almost all cases set up can be done remotely but if necessary PMB can come to you for set up and/or training.
What do you base your charges on for handling my practice's billing?
Preferred Medical Billing only collects fees on what we collect for our clients. It is necessary to analyze each practice and consider multiple variables to determine an exact billing percentage. Each practice is unique and requires careful consideration to provide the right services at competitive rates. It is important to note that a client's success is our success so we want to make sure we take the time to understand client needs and expectations. If we don't do our job, we don't get paid.
What can I expect from working with PMB?
A solid partnership that delivers consistent service, accurate results, ongoing communication and access to experienced, dedicated professionals that serve as your point of contact. You can count on spending less time worrying about the revenue and more time focusing on patients while achieving more efficient collections.
